NY Sports Radio Host Goes on All-Time Rant About Giants Player Who Ripped Fans for Booing

Giants offensive lineman Evan Neal certainly ruffled some feathers with his comments Wednesday chastizing Giants fans for booing during Monday’s 24–3 loss to the Seahawks.

Neal, a top-10 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft who has been part of a struggling offensive line unit for the Giants this season, referred to fans booing as “fair-weather fans” who "flip hot dogs and hamburgers somewhere." That did little to cool down the heat on the former Alabama star, who took an onslaught of criticism for the comments, including an all-time rant from New York sports radio host Don La Greca.

La Greca, a co-host of The Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York, blasted Neal, saying he’d “cut his a––” because of the comments.

“How dare you! These people pay your salary… and you call them hamburger flippers? What, you’re so much better?” La Greca said. “I’d rather have a guy that’s flipping hamburgers block than your piece of garbage a––.”

Here’s the whole rant.

Neal did later apologize, posting a note on social media saying he was “wrong for lashing out at the fans who are just as passionate and frustrated as I was” and that he had “no right to make light of anyone’s job.” But that doesn’t seem likely to pacify La Greca and other Giants fans.

“These Giant fans were here before you, and they’ll be here after your sorry a–– is cut,” La Greca said. “I don’t want to hear some apology… done! I would cut his fat a––.”
