Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang donates $75 million to preserve the California College of the Arts' legacy as Vanderbilt launches a new college of art, architecture and design

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and his wife, Lori Huang, have pledged a $75 million matching gift to Vanderbilt University to establish a new college of art, architecture and design in San Francisco while preserving the legacy of the California College of the Arts (CCA). The donation, announced through the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang Foundation, is the largest university gift the couple has made to date. It comes as Vanderbilt prepares to take over CCA's campus after the renowned art school announced it would close following the 2026–27 academic year. The investment will support a new institution that blends studio-based arts education with architecture, design, technology and innovation, while ensuring key elements of CCA's artistic heritage continue for future generations.
