A nurse who siphoned £770,000 from a "vulnerable and lonely" 99-year-old woman to buy vehicles and fund home improvements has been removed from the nursing register.

A tribunal found that Rebecca Burwood exploited the elderly resident between 2017 and 2023 while working as deputy manager at Bryn Yr Haul Care Home in Mold, north Wales.
