Nottingham's very own Vicky McClure picked up the award for New Drama at the National Television Awards on Thursday night, alongside her co-stars from the ITV bomb disposal drama Trigger Point. The programme saw off competition from Heartstopper, This Is Going To Hurt, and Time.
In Trigger Point, Vicky plays Lana Washington, an experienced bomb disposal officer working for the Metropolitan Police. She stars alongside Adrian Lester, Warren Brown and Mark Stanley.
As she accepted the award from fellow actor Stephen Mangan at Wembley's OVO Arena, she encouraged viewers and audience members to download a song recorded by a choir of people living with dementia that she founded as part of a BBC documentary. She said: "And also, I'm going to do it while I'm here. If you can, just download What's Your Story by Our Dementia Choir."

The choir was formed in Nottingham and is currently featuring in a documentary on BBC One. It sees Vicky learn more about the power of music to help those living with dementia.
Fans on Twitter were quick to share their excitement at the programme and Vicky's success. @MPowell_1991 said: "Throughly [sic] enjoyed Trigger Point. Looking forward to the new series! Vicky McClure is a fantastic actress!"
@Teeej333 tweeted: "Wooohooo #TriggerPoint won new drama NTA award #NTAs #NationalTelevisionAwards #VickyMcClure Vicky McClure is the best," followed by two heart emojis. However, @DanielJFalconer said: "Heartstopper was robbed. Love Vicky McClure but this was a moment that a show like that needed. #NTAs."
