Notts County's Macaulay Langstaff linked with four clubs amid £1m transfer claim

Notts County's Macaulay Langstaff is reportedly the subject of interest from four Championship clubs as the January transfer window nears.

Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol City and Preston North End have all reportedly registered interest in the 25-year-old, as his rich vein of form for the Magpies continues to catch the eye.

The striker signed at the start of this season after helping Gateshead win promotion from the National League North, scoring 30 goals in 42 appearances for Mike Williamson's side.

And his form this season has seen Notts climb to second in the table, scoring 18 goals in 20 appearances under Luke Williams, earning comparisons to Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland.

In a Nottinghamshire Live interview with owners Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz earlier this month, Alexander conceded an “extraordinary offer” would be enough to prise Langstaff away from Meadow Lane.

Langstaff is currently tied down until 2024 at Meadow Lane, with many predicting a bid of up to a million pounds to be tabled for his services, which could be an offer the Magpies simply can't refuse.
