Notts County took another stride towards clinching a National League play-off place but saw top scorer Kyle Wootton pick up an injury.
The Magpies secured a 3-1 win at Meadow Lane as Wootton opened the scoring with his 21st of the campaign when he flicked in Matt Palmer's corner.
Notts then doubled their lead in the 16th minute when Aaron Nemane finished off a brilliant move having been picked out by Jayden Richardson.
Head coach Ian Burchnall's side had threatened to run riot, but the visitors had their best spell of the game before the break as Brad Ash and Tom Bearwish hit the woodwork.
But Notts made it 3-0 after half-time when Ruben Rodrigues scored a glorious free-kick from 25 yards after the visitors had been penalised for handball.
To their credit, Weymouth kept plugging away and pulled a goal back when Bearwish swept past Viteslav Jaros.
But there was concern for Notts as top scorer Wootton had to be replaced with 10 minutes remaining.
Here's how the players rated.
Viteslav Jaros: Post and crossbar came to his rescue in the first half as Notts almost paid the price for stepping off the accelerator. Was beaten by Bearwish's strike after the break which was a tidy finish. 6
Jayden Richardson: Conjured up a fine assist for Aaron Nemane who produced an emphatic finish for the second goal. Suffered an awkward spell as did the team before half-time. 6
Connell Rawlinson: Was never put under any kind of threat for the first 30 minutes but then Weymouth started to ask serious questions as Notts seemed to switch off. Will be annoyed at not keeping a clean sheet. 6
Sam Graham: Caught the eye with a wonderful Virgil van Dijk crossfield pass that was instrumental in the build-up to the second goal. 7
Adam Chicksen: Looked for the runners as Notts' wide players went from out to in and the left-back produced a peach of a pass that should have led to another goal for Nemane. 6
Matt Palmer: Cruised through the game and was enjoying himself until Weymouth upped the tempo before half-time but order was restored after half-time. 7
Harry Arter: Cool and calm in everything he did when it came to possession and got another 60 minutes on the pitch before being replaced. 6
Callum Roberts: Showed a couple of real high-quality moments in attack with a drop of the shoulder and trademark jink inside onto his left foot. 6
Ruben Rodrigues: Picked up some really good positions and scored the best goal of the game with a sublime free-kick that would have beaten the very best goalkeepers. 7
Kyle Wootton: Scored his 21st goal of the season and appears to have hit great form at a key time of the campaign. Could have scored more too. Had to be replaced at the end after picking up an injury which is a huge concern. 7
Aaron Nemane: A real livewire on the left-hand side and took his goal extremely well. Like Wootton he could have added to his tally and was a menace when running in behind. 7
