Notts County will fight for the right to return to the Football League at the London Stadium if they reach the National League play-off final this season.
The decision to hold the final was confirmed today with the game set to be held on Sunday, June 5 with a 3pm kick-off. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport at the 60,000 capacity stadium that is home of West Ham United.
Vanarama National League Chairman Jack Pearce said the venue is a suitable stadium for what is a huge game with the prize of promotion to the EFL at stake. He said: “We are delighted to be working with London Stadium as our partner for this season’s finale."

The league's general manager Mark Ives added: “It is a fantastic sporting arena with a rich history and very befitting of our showpiece Promotion Final. Whilst we don’t know who will get to the Promotion Final yet, what we can now promise is a stadium worthy of hosting such a huge game."
Graham Gilmore, CEO of London Stadium, said: “We are proud to be hosting the National League play-off final this year, with the contenders vying for that coveted place in the Football League. We have witnessed some truly epic matches at our venue this season and this match will be another one of those special occasions at London Stadium.”
Ives added: “Last season was a huge success and I expect an even better occasion this time around."
However, fans have hit out at the decision to hold the final in London given the top seven sides in the league are all currently based north of London.
Notts fan James Cooper said: "The fact that they have turned off the replies to the tweet shows you what they think about it. While it will be a great day out to go to a new stadium, not being at Wembley and missing out because of Covid will always hurt."
Another Magpies fan, Wayne Wonder, added: "Possibly the worst choice. Shocking stadium from a fans point of view."
On Our Way Back added on Twitter: "A typical National League decision that takes no account of the travelling or the fact that London will already be absolutely rammed for the jubilee celebrations."
