Nottingham folk have praised Wollaton-born actress Vicky McClure's new ITVX drama Without Sin. The show, based in and around the city, was co-produced by and starred McClure.
Released on December 28, the thriller is about a mother ( McClure ) who comes face to face with someone who she believes to be her daughter's killer.
Some of the locations in the drama include Beastmarket Hill, the Victoria Centre and its market and Nottingham Prison on Perry Road, Sherwood.

Jenny Clarkson, 44, from Carlton said she was up to the second installment of the four-part thriller. She said: “I loved Vicky McClure in Line of Duty, she’s a fantastic actress and does a lot of charity work, she’s great.”
The school cook went on to say: “It was funny to see it based in Nottingham, they’re prime locations in the city. Everyone’s bound to have come across at some point, I’ve got the last two episodes to watch.”
Tina Jones, 35, said: “I’ve only watched the first episode but it was good. I always prefer British dramas, I find them the best. Vicky McClure also comes across as genuine in interviews.”
The barista continued and said: “I noticed when she was in town and at the prison, she’s a brilliant actress.”
Ivan Rowe from Mapperley also hasn’t watched the new drama yet. Now retired he said: “I like her [Vicky McClure] . I've watched her in Line of Duty, I’ve seen footage of the dementia choir.
“It’s nice it’s done here though, she holds Nottingham close to her heart.” Ivan, who described TV as “a bit drab” at the moment, will be watching Without Sin when he gets a chance, he said.
Keith Frey, 55 said: “Vicky McClure’s a brilliant actress, I haven’t yet seen the new drama and I’m not sure how you get this ITVX but I’ll watch it at some point, it’s nice having something new to watch. Martin Compston [who was also in Line of Duty] is also in something new at the moment, they’re both top tier actors.”
