Nottingham Forest reportedly made a 'call' to 'explore' the possibility of signing Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer.
The Argentina international was without a club for almost a month after leaving the once-perennial Italian champions Juventus at the end of his contract in Turin. Fellow Serie A sides Inter and Napoli were in negotiations with the player before the 28-year-old eventually ended up joining José Mourinho at Roma.
Dybala has previously been linked with moves to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both credited with an interest in the player ahead of the 2019–20 season. It is now being claimed that the Reds tried their luck at attempting an ambitious move during this most recent transfer window.
