Nottingham Forest transfers: Henderson stance, Becker 'enquiry' and Ndiaye latest

January is expected to be a significant month for Nottingham Forest as players continue to be linked with a move to and from the City Ground.

New signing Gustavo Scarpa is not expected to be the only transfer for Steve Cooper, with the latest link being Taiwo Awoyini's former Union Berlin teammate Sheraldo Becker. However, outgoings are also to be expected, with Olympiacos said to be keeping tabs with trio Loic Bade, Loic Mbe Soh and Willy Boly.

Man United eye transfer

Nottingham Forest loanee Dean Henderson reportedly "does not want to return" to Old Trafford at the end of this season's loan spell.

Henderson, 25, has started all 15 matches in the Premier League so far this season after arriving at the City Ground on loan from Man United. Four clean sheets have followed and 30 goals conceded, a tally aided by the Reds goalkeeper's impressive performances.

This form, alongside an untimely injury to Jordan Pickford, saw the one-cap Englandinternational recalled by Gareth Southgate in September for a pair of Nations League matches against Italy and Germany. Henderson remained an unused substitute for both and ultimately missed out on a place in the World Cup squad. Still, it nonetheless represented a recall to the national team for the first time since last summer's European Championship.

'Enquiry' made for Union Berlin winger

Nottingham Forest have reportedly "enquired" about the availability of Union Berlin winger Sheraldo Becker and "want" to sign the player during the January transfer window.

Becker, 27, has enjoyed a strong start to the season for the German side, scoring eight goals and assisting a further five for teammates across all competitions. The Suriname international has been moved to a more central role in the attack since the Reds signed Taiwo Awoniyi from the capital club during the summer.

While playing together over the previous two seasons, the pair combined to assist six goals for each other. Since arriving for what was at the time a club-record fee at the start of the summer, Awoniyi has scored three goals and is Forest's top scorer so far this season despite starting less than half of the club's Premier League matches.

Olympiacos eye triple Nottingham Forest transfer

Olympiacos are eyeing three Nottingham Forest players as they look to strengthen their defensive options in the January transfer window, according to reports in Greece.

Forest’s sister club, which is also owned by Evangelos Marinakis, are keen to add to their squad when the winter window opens in the new year. Reports suggest that centre-back will be a priority for manager Michel, with the club exploring options from overseas, including England.

According to reports in Greece, relayed by Filathlos.gr , the Greek side have now ‘turned their attention’ to possible moves for Forest defenders Loic Bade, Loic Mbe Soh and Willy Boly.

Sheffield United midfielder on the radar

Nottingham Forest could be tempted to reignite their interest in Sheffield United's Iliman Ndiaye after the player's future was plunged into doubt by recent comments from Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom.

Ndiaye, 22, impressed at the World Cup for Senegal, assisting a goal against Qatar as a second-half substitute before starting a subsequent must-win group stage game against Ecuador and England in the round of 16. These performances were a continuation of the form from the club's Championship campaign, with the forward in an eight-way tie to be the division's top scorer after nine goals in 21 appearances ahead of the league restarting this weekend.

The South Yorkshire side host their neighbours to the west, Huddersfield Town, on Saturday afternoon, and ahead of that match, Heckingbottom was asked about the future of their standout performer. Ndiaye only has 18 months remaining on the three-year contract signed last year.

Nottingham Forest dealt £10m transfer blow

Nottingham Forest have been dealt a transfer blow amid reported interest to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Etienne Camara.

The Reds are among Premier League sides, including Leicester City and Brighton, credited with an interest in the 19-year-old. Recent reports claimed the club could 'try their luck' when the transfer window opens in the new year.

Camara is under contract until 2024 after Huddersfield triggered a one-year extension. The Terriers are understood to have valued their player at around £10million.
