Midfielder Remo Freuler says establishing an identity remains a work in progress for Nottingham Forest as they battle for Premier League survival.
It is still incredibly tight at the bottom end of the table, with the Reds maintaining their four-point cushion above the relegation zone as a result of Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Everton. Nevertheless, Steve Cooper’s side have made great strides since the beginning of the season and are in with a fighting chance of staying up.
Adjusting to the top-flight hasn’t been without its challenges, for staff and players. But Freuler is convinced the club have a platform to build upon as they keep developing.

“It is such a big club. Here, you can build something really, really nice,” said the summer signing.
“You have everything to reach high in the future. It just needs a little bit of time.
“We try to establish a style. We are playing different to at the start.
“At the start, we played five at the back and played really offensively. In this league, if you commit with six or seven players, you get punished. We had to adapt our style for our first season in the Premier League.
“We are still looking for our real identity. But at this moment, what counts is getting points as soon as possible."
