Nottingham Forest sent mixed message as Brennan Johnson point made in Everton draw

Nottingham Forest supporters had mixed feelings after seeing their team draw 2-2 with struggling Everton at the City Ground.

An entertaining match saw Brennan Johnson net a brace for the Reds as they twice came from behind to peg back the visitors.

Everton took the lead inside 10 minutes with Demarai Gray converting from the penalty spot following a foul by Jonjo Shelvey.

Johnson struck soon after to put Forest back on level terms, but it was the Toffees who led 2-1 at the interval - thanks to Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Steve Cooper used half-time to inspire a better second half from the Reds, and Johnson was on the mark again on 77 minutes, firing past Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal to ensure his side claimed a valuable point in their own fight for Premier League survival.
