Nottingham Forest pull off stunning £25m double transfer as deals 'agreed'

Nottingham Forest have taken a step closer to securing the services of Neco Williams and Omar Richards, according to reports.

Liverpool right-back Williams has long been admired by Steve Cooper following the Reds' promotion to the Premier League. The Wales international is likely to be brought in to replace Djed Spence, who looks to be signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

On the other side of defence, Bayern Munich's Richards has been linked with a move to the East Midlands after only a year in Germany.

After confirming the signings of Giulian Biancone, Dean Henderson and Moussa Niakhate in the past week, Forest are now close to securing their fifth and sixth signings of the summer transfer market with the signings of Williams and Richards.

According to John Percy at The Telegraph, Forest are 'set to sign' the full-back pair after the deals for both players have been 'agreed'. Williams, who spent last season at Fulham, will cost £17m in total and has been regarded as a 'huge statement' by the club.

Richards, who clocked up four Champions League games last season, will join the club for around €10m.
