Nottingham Forest 'open' to transfer as vice-chairman reveals talks

Nottingham Forest are 'open' to loaning Harry Toffolo out to Hull City, according to the Tigers' vice-chairman Tan Kesler.

"The most critical position for us, I think, is the left-back position and it's an area we're looking to improve," Kesler told HullLive.

"Obviously, we have Callum [Elder] who has been brilliant for the club. He's with us and is part of the leadership group, we're still assessing his long-term contractual situation with us.

"At the same time, Brandon is on loan and we're very happy with him, hopefully his game continues to develop. For short-term, we're looking to fill the left-back position."

City have built a strong relationship with Forest and owner Evangelos Marinakis has recently met up with City owner Acun Ilicali. "We have great relationships with many clubs, but with Forest, our chairman and Mr Marinakis know each other very well, I know Kyriakos [Dourekas - director of football] as well," Kesler explained.

"We talk all the time and they're really open to loaning him [Toffolo] to us. Harry and his agent need to decide whether they want to come to Hull and play for us, or not. At this point, we really need to know if they want to be a part of us.

"We're a family-orientated club and that's something our chairman has been big on, and if you don't want to be part of the group, this family whatever the circumstances may be, then we're not going to force someone to come and play for us."
