Nottingham Forest winger Josh Bowler’s loan spell at Olympiacos has been cut short.
The summer signing was due to spend the season in Greece with the Reds’ fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side. That deal has now been terminated and he has joined former club Blackpool on loan for the rest of the campaign.
Bowler struggled for regular game time while at Olympiacos, making just four league appearances. He returns to the Seasiders, who he left to sign for Forest on deadline day in September.

It comes as the Reds make the trip to Bloomfield Road in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, with Bowler unable to feature for the hosts against his parent side. Steve Cooper ’s side go into the game buoyed by their midweek win over Southampton, which was their first Premier League away victory of the season.
Forest are looking to bring in signings during the transfer window, having already added Gustavo Scarpa to the squad. Departures are expected, too, with defender Loic Bade’s loan from Rennes having been cut short.
Ahead of the game against Blackpool, Cooper said of possible incomings: “I don't think we'll sign anyone before we play Blackpool, that's for sure. But I wouldn't say that that's not possible (making a signing before taking on Leicester City in the next league game) just because of the time and it being a free weekend from the Premier League coming up, so we will see.
“In terms of what we think it could take to improve us, we are clear on what that is. But don't ask me to tell you in case things don't come off, because if they don't, we carry on and we work with the players, who are giving everything at the moment and who we are enjoying working with.
“That's what I'll be doing, really working strongly with the players. But if there are changes, we will deal with them as they come and go, literally, and try to stay on the track we are hoping to be on. We will take things as they come.”
