Nottingham Forest midfielder Tyrese Fornah admitted he couldn't hold back the tears after heading a last-gasp winner for Reading in the Championship.
The Royals trailed 1-0 at home to Rotherham United in Tuesday’s Championship clash, prompting manager Paul Ince to make a double change at half-time. One of those changes saw Fornah, who is on a season-long loan from Forest, brought on.
And it was Fornah who popped up with the winner in the 90th minute, heading home a knockdown from Andy Carroll, who had scored the leveller early in the half. It was only Fornah’s second senior goal and its importance left the 23-year-old feeling emotional at the end of the game.

“It was quite an emotional moment, scoring that late winner. I think I shed a tear,” he said.
“I’m just really glad to get the winner for this club. Just to be out there scoring goals in the Championship, that’s what I dreamt of as a kid. It’s a dream come true to be scoring goals as a midfielder.
“It’s a big moment for me. That’s what I want to be doing every week, but it’s not been happening as regularly as I’d like. I believe in myself and I’m always positive. Whether I start or not, I hope that my ability shines through on the pitch. Hopefully now I can be trusted to start more games week in, week out.
“And I hope this result kick-starts our campaign in the Championship from now until the end of the season.”
The result lifted the Royal to 13th in the table, 12 points above the relegation zone.
