Nottingham Forest have suffered a transfer blow after Alex Moreno rejected a move to the City Ground.
The Real Betis defender had been on the Reds' radar throughout the summer transfer window. Forest were said to be confident of landing the 29-year-old - with a medical reportedly set to be scheduled this week.
But in a message posted on his social media, Moreno confirmed he would be staying at Betis.

It read: "Hi Beticos and Beticas [Betis fans], I wanted to share this message with you all and say that Real Betis will continue being my home this season.
"But it's certain that the club and myself received a proposal from another club. I am grateful for the important offer I have received but after evaluating it, both Real Betis and I decided to continue walking together.
"The affection from the fans, the sports project and the confidence they have shown me from all levels has led me to put my commitment to Betis. I want to continue growing with Betis and all my effort will be aimed at doing my best to make this season unforgettable again."
