Nottingham Christmas Market and Winter Wonderland - is it free and do you need to book for events?

Nottingham’s Old Market Square is set to play host to a spectacular Winter Wonderland from this week. The Winter Wonderland, which opens this week, will form the centrepiece of the city’s Christmas celebrations.

Open from November 15 to December 31, the Winter Wonderland includes the 200-metre Sky Skate, giving revellers the chance to skate above Old Market Square. For those who don’t have a head for heights, there’s also an ice rink at ground level.

In addition, there’s a Christmas market with 60 stalls offering delicious food and quirky festive gifts. While entry to the Winter Wonderland is free, you will have to pay for a ticket for some attractions - which you can book online here - so here’s what you need to know.
