What time does the festival open?

The festival opens on Wednesday, October 12 from 4pm until 11pm with a trade-only session from 1pm until 4pm. The following days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday will open from 11am until 11pm.

This year, there is only one entrance, Dixon Gate to the festival which can be found on Bridgford Road. With thousands of visitors expected, it's worth getting there early.

What time does the entertainment start?

It's not just about the beer, or cider, as there will be plenty of entertainment on all days including music to get you dancing. There are two stages at this year's festival so you there will be lots to see.

On Wednesday, entertainment will start at 3pm with the Carlton Male Voice Choir who will make their Nottingham Beer Festival debut. This will be followed by a performance by a four-piece rock cover band, The Given from 5pm until 6:30pm playing all the classics from Queen to ZZ Top.

The night will close with performances from The Barnum Meserve which combine piano tunes with unique vocals and powerful drumming. Local artists Booba Dust will close out the night with their foot-thumping rhythm and blues on the main stage from 10pm until 11pm.

The acoustic stage will see performances from 4pm starting with drag artist Zandra and 'Harry Hill' who are not only fabulous but collecting for charity. The Acoustic stage will run until 9:30pm

On Thursday, the stage will open from 3pm with sets from The Leggomen, Lawrence County, Lightstream and seventies glam rock-inspired, The ZiggiZ who will close the show at 10:30pm.

Friday and Saturday shows will start earlier with performances beginning at 1pm with sets from West O The Moon, The Spinning Blowfish and punk band SPAM. Music collective Fat Digester will close out the show until 10:30 with their incredible live act.

When and where can I buy tickets?

Given the numbers expected to attend on the day, the festival organisers advise buying tickets in advance of turning up. However, there will be tickets available on the day at the Trent Bridge Box Office.

Tickets are available online in advance and contain tokens for each bar. Extra tokens can also be purchased on the day.
