In a heart-stopping Orange Bowl showdown, Notre Dame clinched a spot in the national title game with a 27-24 victory over Penn State. The game featured a series of lead changes and ties, culminating in a dramatic interception by Notre Dame's Christian Gray in the final seconds.

Gray's interception of Penn State quarterback Drew Allar's pass set up a game-winning field goal by Mitch Jeter, propelling the Fighting Irish to a 14-1 record and a chance to compete for their 12th national title.
