As the draft season draws nearer and nearer, it appears as though Notre Dame will have both of their starting offensive tackles as Blake Fisher just announced he is declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fisher has played both sides of the line for the Fighting Irish and while he was not quite on the level of his running mate Joe Alt, he still found plenty of success over the last two seasons. Many expected Fisher to stick around and take over the left tackle spot, but with enough tape out there for evaluation and the potential to show off his athletic prowess in the pre-draft process, Fisher made the decision to jump ship early and take his talents to the next level.
Playing in 26 games and having the ability to play in multiple spots along the line only stand to benefit Fisher, and given his level of playing during his brightest moments he can expect to be drafted in the first few rounds. Whether it be at tackle or guard, Fisher should be able to step into a role right away and start at the NFL level.
