The 28-year-old has been enjoying some time back in Belfast, but he has been training hard as he searches for a new club.
As well as doing some boxing sessions up at Gleann ABC, the former Liverpool Academy defender has linked up with Ballymena and Provincial League outfit St James' Swifts.
Senior player Joseph McCall said: "Ryan is friends with a lot of the players and any time he's home he would call down and keep fit with the lads at training.
"It's a good young squad so he gets a good workout. He's a great fella and the lads love it when he comes along.
"He is such an experienced footballer who has played at the top level so it is great to learn off him as well."
