Weather officials at the Met Office predict a shiny and bright end to the week, after a weekend plagued by showers across Newcastle.
Early birds will see the most of the Autumn sunshine on Sunday, bright from sunrise until the early afternoon - before clouds cascade the sky for the most part of the evening. However, the sun will come back out to play as the new week rolls in, bright for the better part of Monday.
The official forecast for Sunday, is: "Starting bright with fleeting blustery showers, but soon improving to a fine day with lighter winds for a time. Sunshine becoming hazy later, ahead of a wet and windy night. Maximum temperature 14 °C."
