The North East has been enjoying some great sunshine over the past few days - and that is set to continue.
Temperatures will hit the mid-20s across many parts of the region on Monday and in some areas the mercury could reach 28C, according to Met Office weather experts. However, there is a also a chance of thundery showers for some.
The forecast says there is a possibility of isolated thundery showers over the Pennines in the late afternoon. But there will be plenty of sunshine across the board, with the UV index classed as "very high" on Monday.
