North Carolina Emergency Management is actively working to provide essential resources to communities affected by flooding due to washed out roads. Director Will Ray stated on Monday that efforts are underway to increase the distribution of commodities such as water, ready-to-eat meals (MREs), fuel, and other necessary supplies to the impacted areas.
The state is intensifying its transportation capabilities by adding more vehicles and air support to ensure the efficient delivery of these materials. Additionally, North Carolina Emergency Management is collaborating with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to sustain these operations over the next few weeks.
