Commuters are facing delays getting home this evening after a points failure has resulted in severe delays, and at parts no service, on the Bury line of the Metrolink.
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said passengers are currently experiencing 'severe delays' on the Bury line, with services travelling in both directions between Victoria and Bury affected.
There is no service between Victoria and Queens Road, according to online traffic reporting sustem Inrix. Tickets are being accepted on alternative transport routes.

In a tweet, TfGM said: "Due to a points fault, we are currently experiencing severe delays on the Bury line. Services travelling in both directions between Victoria and Bury are affected.
"Passengers can use tickets on the 95, 97, 98, 135 and 524 bus services. We apologise for any inconvenience."
