No Other Land co-director calls out the Academy for 'refusing' to publicly support Palestinian filmmaker Hamdan Ballal after attack

Oscar-winner Yuval Abraham has voiced his frustration with the Academy for not publicly supporting his co-director, Hamdan Ballal, after he was beaten and detained in the West Bank.

Ballal, a Palestinian filmmaker, along with his co-directors Abraham, Palestinian activist Basel Adra, and Israeli director Rachel Szor, won the 2025 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature for No Other Land.
