Cristiano Ronaldo reunited with a couple of his former Manchester United teammates while on international duty with Portugal this week - finding particular joy in seeing Diogo Dalot once again.
Ronaldo left United in explosive circumstances last November following a controversial interview with TalkTV's Piers Morgan in which he said he didn't respect manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman was ruthless in his decision to axe the 38-year-old, who eventually signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr after the World Cup.
The current international break is the first opportunity for players to come together after Qatar, with new Portugal boss Roberto Martinez deciding to include Ronaldo in his squad for Euro 2024 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

And the former United man was spotted alongside Reds defender Dalot during their training sessions, with the pair seeming to enjoy the reunion - although there was no sign of Bruno Fernandes.
Ronaldo previously handed Dalot the nickname "piteusinho," roughly translating to "little pittie" after the right-back posted a picture of himself in training on Instagram.
While there's no direct English equivalent of "pittie," it was subsequently suggested the word roughly means 'little pitbull'.
And United supporters have now shown how glad they are to see the pair together again.
During the international break, Ronaldo has also opened up on his acrimonious Old Trafford exit.
"Sometimes, you have to go through some things to see who is on my side," he said. "I have no problem saying, I had a bad career run, but there’s no time for regrets. Life goes on and, doing well or not, it was part of my growth.
"When we are at the top of the mountain, we often cannot see what is below. Now, I’m more prepared and learning that was important, because I had never been through this, like in the last few months. Now I’m a better man."
