Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah rejected the Rajya Sabha seat on Thursday, saying that he is 'not interested in national politics'. He announced his resignation from the post after tendering the letter to Governor's Special Secretary Prabhushankar at Lok Bhavan.
The veteran Congress leader revealed that the party high command had offered him a Rajya Sabha berth, but he politely declined the proposal, asserting that he would continue in Karnataka politics and complete his remaining two years as an MLA.
