ENHYPEN has finally broken through on the Billboard 200. The K-pop sextet's eighth mini album, "THE SIN : BLISS," opened at No. 1 on the chart dated Sept. 5, earning 98,000 equivalent album units in its first tracking week, according to Billboard's own chart breakdown. Of that total, 92,000 units came from physical and digital album sales, while roughly 6,000 came from streaming — equal to 6.91 million on-demand plays of the record's songs.
A Six-Year Climb to the Top
The group first cracked the Billboard 200 in 2021 with "Border: Carnival," which landed at No. 18. From there, ENHYPEN worked its way up in stages: its third mini album broke into the top 10, and four more releases followed at No. 4, No. 4 and No. 3, before two consecutive projects — 2024's "Romance: Untold" and January's "The Sin: Vanish" — stalled just short of the summit at No. 2, according to reporting from The Korea Herald. "THE SIN : BLISS" is now the group's seventh straight top-10 album since 2022, and its first to actually clear the final hurdle. With the win, ENHYPEN joins a short list of K-pop acts — among them BTS, BLACKPINK, Stray Kids and TWICE — that have led the all-genre chart.
Life After Heeseung
The album's success comes amid a period of internal change. In March, agency BELIFT LAB confirmed that Heeseung, the group's oldest member, would leave to pursue a solo career while remaining signed to the same label. The company said discussions with the members made clear that "Heeseung has a clear musical path he wishes to pursue," and that it had decided to respect that direction. ENHYPEN has since continued as a sextet — Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki — and "THE SIN : BLISS" is the first complete album cycle released under that new lineup.
'Bloody Paradise' Rewrites the Chart Résumé — With a Correction to How It Happened
Lead single "Bloody Paradise" did much of the heavy lifting. It debuted at No. 12 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 32 on the Global 200 — the group's first entry into that chart's top 40 — while also marking ENHYPEN's first-ever appearance on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, entering at No. 23, per Soompi's chart coverage. In South Korea, the track completed a music-show "Grand Slam" on Aug. 30 — its fifth trophy in a single broadcast week, sweeping Show Champion, M Countdown, Music Bank, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo. By Sept. 10, additional wins had pushed the song's total to seven, including a third M Countdown victory that gave ENHYPEN its first "Triple Crown," according to Korea Daily's update. Reacting to the Billboard 200 debut, BELIFT LAB said through a statement that the group "will not rest on our laurels and will work hard," thanking fans for the support.
A Brazilian Sound, and a New Duet Partner
"Bloody Paradise" leans on a Brazilian funk-inspired beat, a stylistic choice the group's label has tied directly to ENHYPEN's growing footprint in Latin America. On Aug. 26, that connection deepened further: the group released an English-language version of the single featuring Brazilian singer-songwriter Luísa Sonza, whose vocals appear on the track's chorus, according to Billboard Brasil. The pairing followed an earlier, informal moment between the two artists — a dance-challenge video filmed in São Paulo in July — and arrived alongside a run of remix and live editions tied to the album's rollout.
From São Paulo to Mexico City: The Tour Behind the Numbers
The chart run overlapped with the Latin American and U.S. leg of ENHYPEN's "BLOOD SAGA" world tour, which drew more than 193,000 fans across 12 shows in eight cities, including a sold-out stop at a 41,000-capacity stadium in São Paulo, according to BroadwayWorld's coverage. The group also made appearances at Campo Marte in Mexico City and San Diego Comic-Con this year, extending its visibility beyond the concert stage.
Worldwide, "THE SIN : BLISS" sold roughly 2.09 million copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart data cited by Khan Sports — making it ENHYPEN's fifth album to cross the two-million mark. Between a rebuilt lineup, a Billboard first and a widening presence in Brazil and Mexico, the group's latest chapter reads as much like a strategic pivot as a chart victory.
