Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has urged Chelsea to ditch caretaker boss Frank Lampard and appoint a new permanent manager immediately.
The Blues sacked Graham Potter at the start of the month, bringing club legend Lampard back in as interim until the end of the season. But the Englishman's reign has been a disaster, losing four successive matches and being knocked out of the Champions League.
With the Blues sitting 11th in the top-flight and virtually out of contention for a European qualification place, Merson believes they need to act fast. A range of managers have been linked with the job, including Julian Nagelsmann.
