Nine more pharmaceutical manufacturers have signed most-favored-nation pricing agreements with the Trump administration, bringing the total to 26 companies covering what the White House says is 89 percent of the branded drug market. The announcement came from the Oval Office on August 31, 2026.
The nine are Alcon, Astellas Pharma, BeOne Medicines, BridgeBio, CSL, Kyowa Kirin, Sun Pharma, Teva Pharmaceuticals and UCB. They join 17 larger manufacturers that signed earlier, among them Pfizer, Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk. The White House describes the newcomers as mid-sized companies, and says the drugs covered treat conditions including hemophilia, Parkinson's disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, liver disease, skin conditions and several cancers. The administration announced the first agreement with a manufacturer in the fall of 2025 and an earlier round of deals that December.
