A Salmonella recall covering nine greens and superfood powders has moved into the FDA's enforcement records, and the timing is the part consumers should notice. The recall was announced in early August. The products have long shelf lives and are almost certainly still in kitchens.
Lexunder Inc., doing business as Food To Live of Brooklyn, New York, recalled the products after the FDA notified the company that a retail sample of its Organic Supergreens Mix, in an 8-ounce package from lot SO-77820, tested positive for Salmonella. The company said the source had not been determined and that it suspended production and distribution while the investigation continues.
