Nikola Vucevic becomes fifth active player with 8K career rebounds

The Chicago Bulls lost a heartbreaker at the buzzer on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks in overtime, 123-122, as Hawks rookie AJ Griffin hit a mid-air floater on an inbounds pass with 0.5 seconds remaining.

Despite the loss, the Bulls got to celebrate a small milestone for center Nikola Vucevic, who joined a small, elite crew of rebounders.

Vucevic grabbed his 8,000th career rebound on Sunday, becoming only the fifth active player to do so.

Vucevic joins LeBron James, DeAndre Jordan, Kevin Love, and teammate Andre Drummond on the active list to grab over 8K rebounds.

Over his 12-year career, the veteran big man averages 10.4 rebounds per game, including 10.7 per game so far this season.
