Nikola Jokic changed his mind about going home before Nuggets’ parade: ‘I [expletive] want to stay on parade’

Warning: There is some NSFW language in this story.

Plot twist: It turns out Nikola Jokic actually does love championship parades. Who would’ve thought this was possible?!?

The man definitely still wants to go home to his horses back in Serbia ASAP. They’ve got to get ready for a race on Sunday. It wouldn’t be shocking at all if the Stan Kroenke’s private plane was waiting on Big Jok at the end of the parade line ready to whisk him and the family off back home.

But for right now? The big fella is having way too much fun to let this go.

During the parade rally, Jokic told the crowd that he knows he said he wanted to go home before. But, uhhhh, things change!

When Jokic stepped to the podium, he didn’t have very much to say. But what he did say said a whole lot. Fans will absolutely love this.

My guy pulled his best Leonardo DiCaprio Wolf of Wall Street impression here. He is not leaving. At least, not right now, anyway. That’s good enough for all the Nuggets fans out there.

In all seriousness, the Nuggets seemed like they had a ton of fun at the championship parade. Mike Malone was on one. Bruce Brown — and everyone else, really, was shirtless. The team and its reported 500,000 fans at the parade had a great time. As they should.

Enjoy this, Denver. You’ve earned it.
