A nightclub has issued a statement following an incident which left a woman in her 20s fighting for her life in hospital.
Hey Amigos, a nightclub on West Street in Southport, has sent a touching message to the family of the girl who fell from the two-storey fire escape at the weekend. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to the late-night venue at around 2.55am on Sunday, September 4.
It was reported a girl had fallen from a balcony at the club. She was rushed to hospital, no-one else is being sought in connection with the incident. She is believed to still be in critical condition.

The statement said: "In light of recent events we just want to say all of our thoughts are with the young girl, her family and friends at this difficult time. We hope everyone can understand that this has shaken all of us and we can't comment or reply to messages about what's happened.
"However we can say we're doing everything we possibly can to help the Police and EHO with whatever they need."
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said at the time: "We were called to reports over concern for safety at around 2.55am after a woman fell from a balcony. A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital where she is in a critical condition.
"Officers remain at the scene and we're not looking for anyone in connection to the incident."
