Nicola Sturgeon and Keir Starmer have demanded a general election after Liz Truss quit as Prime Minister after weeks in the job.
The First Minister blasted the "utter shambles" of the Truss Government that led to the UK economy spiralling out of control.
Truss, who said a successor would be in post within a week, resigned after having to shred her own mini-budget and firing her Chancellor.
