Nicola Bulley’s partner Paul Ansell speaks out.
The partner of missing dog walker Nicola Bulley says it’s like she’s “vanished into thin air” as he “can’t believe” a week has passed and they are “no further on” in the case.
Paul Ansell told Sky News that he can’t get his head around what has happened after his partner went missing last Friday. Ms Bulley was last seen on a towpath next to the River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire.
He said: “It’s like a dream, I can’t get my head around any of it. Every single scenario comes to a brick wall, all we’re doing is going around and around.”
Ms Bulley’s family have been dealt a fresh blow after a second possible witness said she “didn’t see” the mum-of-two.
Police were urgently hunting for a ‘lady in red’ spotting walking her dog along the River Wyre around the same time the 45-year-old went missing last Friday.
But this possible second witness, 67-year-old Christine Bowman, said she “didn’t see” Ms Bulley while she was walking her own dog, Snowflake, reports the Daily Mirror.
Ms Bowman said she was confused as to why police issued an appeal to find her when she already spoke to them to tell them she hadn’t seen Ms Bulley right after she went missing.
Lancashire Constabulary told The Independent they cannot verify Ms Bowman’s account.
Police say that at this point there is nothing to suggest any third-party involvement in Ms Bulley’s disappearance.
