Alabama head coach Nick Saban traded the gridiron for the diamond on Tuesday night, throwing out the first pitch prior to the Crimson Tide’s showdown with Samford at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Saban showed no issue bringing the heat, easily striking the glove of senior Garrett McMillan. Following the pitch the seven-time national champion head coach simply waved to cheering hometown fans.
Alabama, which crushed Samford 13–6 Tuesday night, has won four consecutive games as well six of their last eight games overall. The Crimson Tide, who are now 30–12 on the season, improved their home record to 22–7.
