NEW DELHI: Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has declared that he will not represent Australia at the Paris Olympics this year, even if he is fit, due to what he perceives as mistreatment by the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) ahead of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
In a column written for Fairfax newspapers, the 28-year-old former Wimbledon finalist expressed his resentment, stating, "One thing I will guarantee, though, is that if I am fit and ready to play, I won't be making myself available for the Olympics. The way I was treated by the Australian Olympic Committee and former Chef de Mission Kitty Chiller will never be forgotten."
