Nick Knowles was introduced to a fellow builder who says he is often mistaken for the presenter while filming an episode of DIY SOS.
Matt Best, from Staffordshire, owns Best Landscapes, and said he is often told he looks like Mr Knowles.
Mr Best offered his services to the BBC's show build, Stoke On Trent Live reports.

The builder posed for a selfie with Nick while he and his experts are in the area to film the show.
Matt, 47, said: "I've seen the programme and I often get told that I look like Nick Knowles.
"[One time] I was walking up to my car to take off my dirty waterproofs. I still had my hard hat on when a car went past and then reversed back and someone said 'hi, Nick Knowles'.
"They then realised I wasn't Nick."
Nick and the team have battled three storms in the space of a week while the build has been taking place.
Matt, who has been working on the project since it began on February 16, said: "It's been very tiring, it's one of those jobs where it will be nice when it's done because of the weather and the ground conditions.
"They're long days, I normally arrive at about 8am and finish at about 6.30pm.
"The weather has been very interesting, we've battled through but it's made the job a lot harder.
"It was a close call on Friday whether to close the site because there was a lot of rain and wind. We had to take down the gazebo with the catering inside, but the community hub let us eat in there.
"It's the first time I've worked on a DIY SOS project and I was talking to the main cast members who were saying that Nick is really passionate about each build and does all of the radio shout outs for more trades and gets stuck in rallying people up."
The episode is set to air around May this year, according to producers.
