Nick Knowles and Jeremy Vine found themselves in a heated clash as the television stars locked horns over a dreaded parking ticket.
DIY SOS frontman Nick has complained on social media about his local council, which he believes is "driving people away" from the local towns.
Nick, 60, took to his Twitter profile earlier this week to criticise Cirencester, Gloucestershire for their handling of the ongoing Christmas markets which attract hundreds of people.
The presenter was not impressed by the council issuing parking tickets to people on Sunday afternoon for parking on single yellow lines at the event.
In view of his 173.4k followers, he shared a snap of a parking ticket attached to the windscreen of an unidentified car alongside the furious caption: "Congrats Cirencester & Gloucester cnclls [sic].
"You hold an Xmas fayre to get shoppers into town & when they do & car parks are full you ticket everyone parked on a single yellow on a Sunday whole rows of them!
"Hell of a way to support local businesses by driving people away."
Meanwhile, Jeremy was just one of over 1.9k people who replied to Nick's tweet as he responded: "Excellent work. Children on foot are the priority, not adults wedging large metal cages into places they don't fit."
But one person responded to Jeremy's post saying: "Have you tried living outside a major city. There are no options but cars for many."
"More city folk telling people in the countryside how to live," added Nick with an unimpressed emoji.
But Nick was met with praise from his followers who descended in their thousands to share their thoughts on the matter, with one writing: "This is exactly what puts many off going into town or city centres. Overly complex parking controls & restrictions or high charges. Then we wonder why many use Amazon!"
"My wife is a traffic warden, the towns where she patrols that have a Christmas Market they are advised not to ticket unless parked dangerously. Seems some areas aren't as sensible," said another.
Before a third commented: "Wow what a lot of criticism towards Nick for a tweet which makes perfect sense. Christmas Fayre, with not enough parking, not always easy to get to the places on foot or public transport. No need for parking ticket on a one off special day."
However, after some claimed Nick should leave his car at home and use public transport, he insisted that people who live in cities have no idea that bus routes appear to have "disappeared".
