On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors announced a flurry of changes to their coaching staff and basketball operations department. Along with the addition of Chuck Hayes in the front office and the promotion of Chris Weems on Steve Kerr’s bench, the Warriors announced a new head coach for their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Nick Kerr, Steve’s son, has been named the head coach of the G League Warriors. Kerr was an assistant on the G League staff in Santa Cruz for the last two seasons. Prior to joining the Santa Cruz staff, Kerr spent three seasons with Golden State in video and player development.
Before joining the Warriors, Kerr was a quality assurance assistant with the San Antonio Spurs.
