Carolina Panthers linebacker Nic Scourton left training camp after suffering a knee injury during practice, prompting the team to send him for an MRI to determine the extent of the damage. The injury occurred during a one-on-one pass-rushing drill, where Scourton went to the ground without obvious contact and remained down before being attended to by trainers.
He was later helped off the field and did not return to practice. In response to the injury, the Panthers agreed to terms with outside linebacker Cam Gill as they awaited further evaluation of Scourton's condition. At the time of publication, the team has not announced a diagnosis, and the MRI results have not been publicly released. Scourton, selected by Carolina in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, had entered training camp as one of the team's most closely watched rookies.
