Frustrated Niall McGinn is set to leave Aberdeen for Dundee.
The Dark Blues are poised to bolster their Premiership survival push with the capture of the experienced Northern Ireland winger on an 18-month deal.
McGinn has been disappointed with a lack of first-team action at Pittodrie under boss Stephen Glass.
The Dons have agreed to let the 34-year-old go on a free and Dens Park manager James McPake has moved to quickly to get him.
Dundee hope to get a deal done for McGinn to make his debut against St Johnstone on Wednesday.
He has had two successful spells at Aberdeen in between a short spell at Gwangju.
Former Dons manager Craig Brown signed him from Celtic back in 2012 and helped them win the League Cup in 2013-14.
McGinn was a regular under Derek McInnes but has become more of a bit-part player under Glass.
He now wants to help Dundee push up the table and to keep his place in the Northern Ireland squad.
