Niall Horan is set to add entertaining President Joe Biden at the White House to his impressive CV as he will help mark St Patrick's Day in the capital.

Taoiseach of Ireland, Leo Varadkar will meet with the President for talks which make up the annual tradition for the holiday on Friday.

But Mullingar-native Horan, 29, is among some of the stars who will take to the stage and it appears that Biden is a huge fan of the Heaven hitmaker.

But during a press conference, Karine said: "Niall is a multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter who has toured the globe, including with One Direction. Gonna keep my comments to myself on One Direction, I don't know who they are. I'm sorry. Many of you, I'm sure, do."

His news comes after Niall who is currently serving as a coach on The Voice US admitted he hates not turning for those auditioning for the CBS talent show.

But the musician also admitted had he auditioned for himself, he wouldn't be in the position to judge other singers as he wouldn't have spun his chair.

"No, I don't think I would've turned for myself, put it that way, I'd turn for me now! I've learned a lot, I've been around the block a couple of times, which is a lot that can be said for someone that's 29 but yeah, I'd turn now, I wouldn't've turned then, that's the truth."
