Niall Horan falls ‘extremely ill’ on British Airways flight ahead of RTE Late Late Show appearance

Niall Horan revealed he was ‘extremely ill’ on a British Airways flight ahead of his appearance on RTE’s Late Late Show on Friday.

The former One Direction star, 28, took to Twitter to thank the staff who looked after him on the flight while he was seriously unwell.

The Mullingar native wrote: “Thank you to the staff on that @British_Airways flight. I was extremely ill and they took such good care of me.”

The official account for British Airways replied to Niall on Twitter, writing: "Thanks for your lovely comments about the care you received from our crew on your flight, Niall. We'll be sure to pass on your thanks to them."

It is not yet clear what illness the Irish singer songwriter was suffering from on board the plane.

This comes days after Niall was spotted at the Super Bowl LVI with fellow pop sensation Shawn Mendes where the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in a fourth-quarter comeback.

Niall Horan is due to appear on the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy on Friday night.

He will join Ryan virtually from LA to pay tribute to golfer Leona Maguire.

Following her inspirational performance at the Solheim Cup in September, Leona Maguire has taken the next step in spectacular fashion, becoming the first Irish winner in LGPA history with a three-shot win in Florida at the beginning of February.

She got home this week to Cavan and will join Ryan Tubridy on Friday to talk about a whirlwind couple of weeks.
