Niall Horan has announced a Scotland date on his upcoming tour just hours before taking to the stage at TRNSMT.
The former One Direction crooner, 29, announced the news to thousands of delighted fans on Twitter after facing criticism for touring the UK without coming to Scotland. Niall, who will grace the main stage at Glasgow Green on Friday evening, will play at the OVO Hydro on February 28, 2024.
Announcing the news online, Niall wrote: "GLASGOW ! Of course I’m coming your way too. See you on 28 February for The Show Live On Tour 2024 ! Tickets go on sale 14 July at 10am."
Fans took to social media following the announcement, as one excitedly penned: "I KNEW HED DO THAT BEFIRE TRNSMT."
Another said: "DONE SIGNING UP WHILE STANDING IN PIT WAITING FOR YOU AT TRNSMT," while a third tweeted: "I knew he'd announce a Glasgow show today."
A fourth added: "you dropping the scotland date while we’re sitting waiting for you at a scottish festival is slightly perfect."
This comes after Niall took to the stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Dundee last month and noted there had been a "commotion online" after fans spotted there was no Scottish date on his world tour.
Taking to the stage, Niall said: "Don’t worry, it’s a tactic! Look at the dates, see where the gap is…there might be a Scottish one. How could I not?”
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday, July 14.
