New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for Anmol Bishnoi. He is brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He is charge sheeted in two NIA cases registered in 2022.
In the strongest lead linking Baba Siddique's murder to Lawrence Bishnoi, police revealed that the three suspected shooters who killed the NCP politician. He had communicated with the jailed gangster's Canada-based cousin, Anmol Bishnoi, via an instant messaging app. before the murder.
It is suspected that Anmol sent them photos of Siddique and his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, through the app.

In April this year, Mumbai Police investigating the shooting outside actor Salman Khan's residence issued a lookout circular (LOC) for Anmol Bishnoi, a wanted suspect in the case.
Anmol had posted on social media, stating it was Salman Khan's first and final warning. He is also linked to 18 prior criminal cases.
Mumbai court denied bail
A Mumbai court recently denied bail to one of the two accused involved in the firing incident outside Khan's residence, saying they did so with the "intention or knowledge" to kill Khan on Anmol Bishnoi's instigation.

Both Anmol Bishnoi and Lawrence Bishnoi, who hail from Fazilka in Punjab, have been shown as wanted accused in the case. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in a jail in Sabarmati in Gujarat.
A lookout circular was also issued in April against Anmol Bishnoi, who had claimed responsibility for the firing incident outside Khan's residence.
An FIR was also registered by the NIA against nine accused, including both the Bishnoi brothers. In August 2022 for being part of a conspiracy to "raise funds, recruit youth to carry out terrorist acts in the Union Territory of Delhi and other parts of the country" besides "targeted killings of prominent persons".
