NEW DELHI: After the recent massive fire at the Bhalswa landfill site, National Green Tribunal (NGT) has observed that despite directions, “necessary action is not taken by the concerned authorities, which is a matter of serious concern for public safety and health and environment.”
The tribunal, which had constituted a committee after the fire at the Ghazipur landfill site last week, has directed the committee to ascertain the factual situation in respect of Bhalswa landfill fire and suggest further action and other disaster management plans.
